Who We Are
Windsor Management is a commercial property management company. We use SMS messaging to communicate important information to our tenants regarding their leases, maintenance, and property operations.
How We Collect Consent
We obtain explicit opt-in consent from tenants before sending any SMS messages. Tenant contact information is provided directly by the tenants themselves or received from prior management during property assumption. Consent is collected through the following methods:
- Tenant portal registration — When tenants create an account on our tenant communication platform (powered by Quo), they are presented with a clear opt-in checkbox to receive SMS notifications.
- Lease onboarding — During the lease execution and onboarding process, tenants may opt in to receive SMS communications from Windsor Management.
- Property assumption onboarding — When Windsor Management assumes management of a building, existing tenants are onboarded and given the opportunity to opt in to SMS communications.
- Written or electronic request — Tenants may opt in by submitting a written or electronic request to their property management team.
Consent language presented to tenants:
“By providing your mobile phone number and checking this box, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Windsor Management regarding your tenancy, including maintenance updates, service notifications, and property communications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.”
Types of Messages Sent
SMS messages from Windsor Management are limited to tenant communications, including:
- Maintenance and work order updates (scheduling, status, completion)
- Service disruption and emergency notifications
- Rent and billing reminders
- Property notices and community updates
- Lease-related communications
We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages via SMS.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on property activity and tenant interactions. Tenants can expect to receive messages only when there is relevant, actionable information related to their tenancy.
How to Opt Out
Tenants can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message received from Windsor Management
- Contacting their property management team directly
- Updating their communication preferences in the tenant portal
Once a tenant opts out, no further SMS messages will be sent unless the tenant re-subscribes.
